National Brass Band Finals

 On Saturday the 5th March 2011, South Yorkshire Police Band won the 2nd section Yorkshire Area Brass Band finals playing Resurgam. Best soloist was principal cornet Leisa Mallalieu. The results take us forward to the National Brass Band finalsAugust 2011 - The band are really enjoying working on this test piece. It's great fun and gives us chance to show off our entertaining capabilities. The catchy tunes and rhythms of the outer movements really suit our playing and our soloists are enjoying the chance to shine in the slow movement.BackgroundThe band will be conducted by our MD Leigh Baker .
