The Yorkshire Brass Band Championships
The 2012 Championships will take place on the 3-4 March 2012. The schedule for the weekend is listed below, precise times will be confirmed after entries are received:
Adjudicators are John Berryman and Alan Morrison
Test piece - Mountain views by Bertrand Moren
Rehearsal schedule
Wed 15th - 7.45pm full
Sun 19-6pm start (with tea break) - Sectionals with brass tutors
Tues 21 -715 sec- 8-full
Weds 22 -715 sec -8-full
Sun 26 -5pm reh- 730-niagara test piece fest
Mon 27-715 sec -8 full
Weds 29-745 (with likely guest appearance!)
Thurs 1st-745
Fri 2nd- cancelled
Sat 3rd 6.30pm-8pm
This again is a very civilised schedule (some bands will do 3 weeks solid!) so full attendance at these reh are essential.
There are only 5 extra rehearsals and stretched Sundays so please make the effort.
We can win this you know folks!
BUT-the ball is a lot harder in this section!
